Dear Friends of Jungle Friends,
I am happy to report that Buddie greeted me this morning with a big 'play face', the first play face that we have seen since Buddie became ill.
Buddie has barely had the strength to lift up her head this past week and now she is holding her cup and drinking her special shakes and Pedialyte all on her own.
Buddie is also eating just about everything she can get her hands on. I do not think there was a moment today that she did not have something in her mouth or in her hand heading toward her mouth. Buddie has always been a "champion eater"!
Buddie is still on oxygen and until her breaths become normal we will not start cutting the oxygen back. Her breathing has improved greatly. At her worst her breaths were 120 / minute, now they fluctuate between 60 and 80 / minute. Normal would be about 30 - 50 breaths per minute.
We have had a candle lit for Buddie since she went into the oxygen tent. They are candles that Shelley, Precious' human, sent to us, the name of the candles are "Monkey's Breath".
Jungle Friends will mourn the death of Precious for a long time to come. Precious was very dear to everyone who knew her. We will miss her so, she is with God now and truly free.
I want to thank you all for sending your donations in memory of Precious and for Buddie's medical treatments. I cannot thank you enough for all of your prayers for Buddie and for Precious.
For Precious and her family...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
