Dear Friends of Jungle Friends,
I am very happy to report that Buddie is back to her old self! You would never know that she had been so ill. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers who came out to help us with Buddie in our time of need. We really appreciate all of you!
We also have Ernie, Hayley, Bonnie and Spanky, four white-faced capuchins, joining Jungle Friends next Tuesday. We will be putting on the finishing touches to their habitats over the weekend. You can read more about them in the next newsletter.
The university called and the other four squirrel monkeys at the lab are ready to relocate to Jungle Friends! We just have a few more things to do on the habitats and Shannon (Jungle Friends Top Banana) and Larry will be working on that tomorrow, so we hope to have the monkeys here by mid week.
The other nine capuchins from the lab are still scheduled to arrive at the end of March and we are working on their temporary habitats on a daily basis. We have had so many of our donors and volunteers helping us to prepare for these capuchins! We have had supporters come from as far north as Canada, thanks Drew and Lisa! And from as far west as New Mexico, thanks Billy! And Lovette and Nenad will be here on Monday to help, wow, Jungle Friends is so fortunate to have so many good people willing to help the monkeys. I just cannot tell you how much you all mean to me and Jungle Friends!
Since we do not have the funds right now to build the 9 lab capuchins permanent habitats, we will be continuing the Share Your Heart Campaign until we have the funds, so please be generous!
And if you happen to be up at 1:30 EST tomorrow morning, you will see Scooter on the Carson Daly show again. The show is on NBC. The last time Carson called Jungle Friends, we had 1500 hits on the website, 5 new monkey sponsors, 3 monkey art orders and quite a few sign ups for Jungle News and the "Monkey Business" newsletter.
That reminds me, please check out the website, we now have the "Monkey Business" newsletter on the site, as well as the Monkey Portraits that Sandie is painting for us, and our 2005 Monkey Calendar
Thank you so much, Linda!
