Dear Friends of Jungle Friends,

Guess which Jungle Friends primate is heading to California this summer? Yep, that would be me!

I have been asked to present our ‘Born to be Wild’ PowerPoint program at the Animal Rights 2007 National Conference in July! What an exciting opportunity to share the story of Jungle Friends with so many other animal advocates. And, it’s a great chance for me to connect with Jungle Friends supporters from all over — so I hope you will join me in Los Angeles for the world’s largest and oldest animal rights conference. For more information about the conference, click the link below.

When you're ready to book your trip, there's more good news! We have a travel agent who not only offers good deals on flights to the conference, or anywhere you want to go for that matter, but who will also donate a portion of their profits to Jungle Friends! Go to www.umdonations.com, click on the "Donations" tab, then click Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary in the list of charities and make your reservations. (Note: For travel purchases between now and May 4, 2007, please MAKE SURE you send an email to iplacedanorder@umdonations.com to assure that Jungle Friends receives credit.)

I hope to see lots of you in Los Angeles this summer!

And in the meantime, right here in Florida, monkeys just keep coming! We have completed the new habitat for Simon, the squirrel monkey, and Lee and Laura are going to pick him up today! Toward the end of the week we'll see another new arrival: Charlie Brown, a black-capped capuchin. We are not sure yet when the female marmosets will be arriving for our lonely boys, but I will keep you posted.

Lots of monkey love,
Kari and the monks
