A volunteer day at Jungle Friends
with the Tallahassee Lassies

March 13, 2010

One day, the Tallahassee Lassies decided to volunteer at the Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary…

And there was a lot to do!

We have 120 hungry monkey mouths that want to be fed every morning ...

So let’s carry lots of delicious fresh vegetables and fruit to our Rainforest Café and get started …

… to prepare a good variety of bite-sized food for our monks!

Our little Marmosets and Tamarins in Munchkinland want special treatment, so Ashley and Kat chop extra-small pieces so that every monkey at Jungle Friends is happy!

Then, the Tallahassee Lassies went to Koreymonde where a new monkey will be arriving soon.

So, what we have to do now, is build a new habitat (and some muscles while doing this) ...

... and decorate it ...

... with new wood, plants, branches, toys, ropes and swings.

Good job!

And finally, our busy volunteers, interns and carestaff get special treatment, too …

… namely a delicious vegan lunch!

The dogs don’t want to miss this delightful lunch either!

Yummie!
