Christopher is a male white-faced capuchin who was born on 6/17/91. He arrived at Jungle Friends on 6/15/06. Christopher was living in North Carolina, and his ‘owners’ could no longer care for him. For the first ten years of his life Christopher shared a habitat with his biological sister. Unfortunately, she died of cancer. For the past five years he has been species isolated and had minimal contact with humans.
From the moment Christopher arrived at Jungle Friends he has been interested in his new surroundings. He not only chatters with the other primates, he is also very curious about the parrots that live in the habitat next door and talks to them quite frequently. Christopher and Macy, a neighboring white-faced capuchin, have shown an interest in each other and we are hopeful that they will make a love connection.
Christopher spends much of his time digging in the dirt and playing outside, but in the heat of the day you will find him lounging in his air-conditioned indoor enclosure watching the volunteers chop produce and do the monkey laundry.
