Lil is a golden-handed tamarin who arrived at Jungle Friends on February 19, 2006 with her twin brother Phil when they were about 5 years old. The pair had been kept as ‘pets’ by the same family who brought us Mojo Jojo, a common marmoset. The family is planning on moving to California soon, where monkeys are illegal to own as ‘pets’. It is our hope that more states will follow suit.

Lil is a sweet little girl, always running after her brother Phil in hot pursuit. This pair is the most adventurous in Munchkin Land; their leaps and bounds are something to behold! These twins really seem to enjoy the antics of the other tamarins and marmosets living nearby, calling to them whenever they are in view. They also love basking in the sun, as well as running through the rain.
