Lizzy

Lizzy close up face Lizzy is a spider monkey that arrived at Jungle Friends in April of 2005 when she was about 2 years old. Lizzy is an ex-pet whose owner told us that she herself looked like an abused woman just from Lizzy's rough play! Lizzy was introduced to another spider monkey named Udi who is just a few months younger than Lizzy. Udi was very happy to have a playmate his own age. Spider monkeys certainly do play rough, but Udi is not complaining. The two youngsters play and play and then play some more. It just warms our hearts to watch Udi & Lizzy chase after each other, rolling around on the ground wrestling.

Lizzy on log Travis, another spider monkey who shares the same habitats with Lizzy and Udi also joins in the fun. Travis is an elderly spider monkey, but you wouldn't know it to watch his rough and tumble play with the youngsters. These two adolescents have Travis acting like a kid again. Lizzy also has a good relationship with Clydette and Goldie, who also live in the same habitats. Although Clydette rules the roost right now, we feel that Lizzy will give her a run for her money when she is mature. Lizzy seems to have no fear and is a very confident young monkey.
