Louis

Louis Louis is a young weeper capuchin who arrived unexpectedly at Jungle Friends on July 24, 2007. He had been rescued from an abusive situation, and was brought to Jungle Friends by a compassionate individual to make sure he was in a safe haven.

Louis is an ex-pet and is quite ‘humanized’. We know that once he settles in and observes some of the monkey groups interacting appropriately with each other, he will figure out that he, too, is a monkey and he will have other monkey companions.

Louis Meanwhile, Louis enjoys flirting with the humans, racing around his habitat, jumping from perch to perch, sliding down the hammock, playing with the toys and eating the plants! In the evening he snuggles up in his blankets with a toy or a clump of grass nearby and sleeps peacefully through the night – until morning when his outrageous antics start again.

Louis not only needs a sponsor, he is now living in one of our shift habitats until we can raise the funds to build him his own habitat so that he can be socialized with other monkeys. Below is a breakdown of the costs to build his new home. Please help us raise the funds for Louis!
