Phil
Phil is a golden-handed tamarin who arrived with his twin sister Lil on February 19, 2006 when they were about 5 years old. The pair had been kept as ‘pets’ by the same family who brought us Mojo Jojo, a common marmoset. The family is planning on moving to California soon, where monkeys are illegal to own as ‘pets’. It is our hope that more states will follow suit.
This pair is the most adventurous in Munchkin Land; their leaps and bounds are something to behold! These twins really seem to enjoy the antics of the other tamarins and marmosets living nearby, calling to them whenever they are in view. They also love basking in the sun, as well as running through the rain.
