Catman

  • Species: Brown Capuchins (Cebus apella)
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: January 6, 1987
  • Arrival: January 6, 2016
  • Background: Research
  • Character: Endearing

Catman arrived at Jungle Friends with seven other capuchins. These boys were used in iron-toxicity studies and spent years in a metal cage – all alone. This study is over and all of the monkeys are now in sanctuary retirement.

Catman is older than the other capuchins and has a calming presence on the group. He is very tolerant of new people and can often be seen chatting with his neighbor, Golden Child. He was also caught in the wild and is anxious to feel the sun and grass again! See more about the Ironmen here!
