Clotho spent 12 years in laboratory research studies until she arrived at Jungle Friends with her best friend Atropos. Clotho is the larger of the two and has tuffs on the top of her head unlike Atropos. As soon as the doors opened on their transport cage Clotho and Atropos went straight for the monkey bars (a favorite for many of the monkeys here at the sanctuary). Clotho is a bit braver than Atropos, being more willing to come over to humans for treats. Within a day of being in their “Almost Wild” habitat Clotho explored every inch. Clotho is very smart and figured out the runway system quick. Both girls have adjusted very well to life here at the sanctuary, they never sit still for long.

Clotho was named after one of the Three Fates in Greek mythology, her sisters being Lachesis and Atropos. She was the one who spun the thread of the lives of all mortals.
