Golden Child

Golden Child was captured in the wild and sold into biomedical research. He arrived at Jungle Friends with seven other capuchins. These boys were used in iron-toxicity studies and spent years in a metal cage – all alone. This study is over and all of the monkeys are now in sanctuary retirement. Golden Child is one of the oldest in the group, and is very submissive. His favorite foods seem to be grapes and peanuts. He is very sweet and always happy to see his caregiver arrive. See more about the Ironmen here!
