Monk Monk was a privately owned primate whose “home” was a birdcage. She was in a hoarding situation and lived with hundreds of dogs and cats. Monk Monk’s “owner” had a stroke and Jungle Friends was contacted.

Monk Monk is very tiny, perhaps due to a poor diet and lack of sunshine. She could barley stand or walk, her muscles had atrophied. With a good diet, an "Almost Wild" habitat and her new monkey friends, you would not recognize her! Monk Monk is happy and healthy!

Monk Monk was introduced to Maggie, another white-faced capuchin shortly after her arrival. Unfortionatly, a few months later Maggie passed away. Monk Monk was then introduced to one of Jungle Friend's cofounders Charlotte, who had recently lost her sister Samantha to cancer. Monk Monk and Charlotte have similar personalities and are enjoying their days together playing in their habitat.
