Coco and her companion Mikki spent over three decades of their lives in entertainment, going to parties and events as organ-grinder monkeys with The Hurdy Gurdy Man. Now the Hurdy Gurdy Girls have retired to a more natural monkey life in Florida. Now Coco and Mikki are spending their golden years at Jungle Friends.

The Hurdy Gurdy Girls have made quite a hit with everyone at the sanctuary. You had better keep some nuts in your pocket if you are passing by their habitat, once spotted, Mikki will run to you clap twice and offer her hand to be filled with treats, if you don’t have a treat, she will clap and clap and clap, until you are persuaded to go and get one. Mikki is very demanding, unlike Coco, her more unassuming companion. Coco is very sweet and contemplative, just looking at Coco you can see the wheels turning, always thoughtful, working everything out and assessing everyone and everything in her environment.
