Earl was only four years old when he and his companion Joey arrived at Jungle Friends. These boys were bred and sold into research for medical studies; fortunately, the study was cancelled before they were 'used'. They narrowly escaped being sold to another laboratory!

You will never find Earl too far from Joey; they even sit together arm in arm at mealtime. These boys groom each other and hunker down together each night, tails entwined. Earl is the smaller and more sensitive of the pair and prefers the habitats farthest from the white-faced capuchins enclosures whose loud calls can make him anxious.
