MOSES

Moses is a squirrel monkey estimated to be in his late teens. He arrived at Jungle Friends on August 19, 2004 when he was retired from research. His monkey companions Buddy, Howard and Gilbert McGreedy accompanied him. Moses, along with his friends, was stolen from his natural habitat in the rainforest and used in the lab for nearly two decades and housed alone. These monkeys were given a new life here at Jungle Friends.

Moses is a bit high-strung with a very sweet disposition. Moses is quite the playful old boy and enjoys the new toys he has been given, and he is especially curious with mirrors. Moses also loves his new hammock, and although he doesn’t sleep in it, he uses it to clean himself and play with his food. All four boys show great interest in each other; we plan to socialize Moses with his friends; Buddy, Gilbert McGreedy and Howard in large, naturalistic habitats
