Taco and Allie

Not much is known about Taco and Allie’s past. Most “pet” birds bounce from home to home and they usually outlive their guardians. Fortunately for Taco and Allie, they found each other at Parrots-R-4Ever Avian Rescue. Unfortunately, the Founder has a terminal illness and the parrots were transferred to other parrot rescues and sanctuaries. We are so happy that Jungle Friends was able to offer Taco and Allie a forever home where they will never be separated and will always be together.

Taco and Allie are really enjoying their new “Almost Wild” outdoor habitat! They have investigated their new environment from top to bottom. We are planning to build more aviaries in the Parrot Area of Jungle Friends so they will be much closer to the other birds and maybe even introduce them to Harley and Cornelius, two of our bonded macaws.

Allie is warming up to our carestaff, however she seems very shy. Taco is more outgoing and very protective of Allie -- he is in “wait and see mode” before he decides to make friends with any of the humans. For now, he is happy to have his friend Allie by his side.
