Wild Bill was captured in the rainforest as a youngster and exported to the US and sold into research where he lived for nearly two decades. Fortunately, after the iron toxicity studies ended, Wild Bill and eight other capuchins were retired to Jungle Friends. Wild Bill and his monkey friends were housed separately in the laboratory, living indoors in a sterile environment.

Here at Jungle Friends, they all enjoy large, naturalistic outdoor habitats. Wild Bill is a bit of a neurotic, but then you would be too if you spent much of your life all alone in a lab, he has really come around and now has other monkey friends to play with, he is still not too thrilled with humans, can’t blame him.
