Annabelle went from rags to riches when Jungle Friends rescued her from hoarders who abandoned her in a condemned trailer. For nearly seven years, this little capuchin lived in unbearable conditions. The trailer had holes in the roof and mold covering the walls. Her home was a rusted cage and her bed was made of dirty rags. There was no food or water in her small cage – Annabelle was underweight and stressed.

Annabelle wasn't sure what to think about her new home at the sanctuary, staying up all night and worrying the care staff. But by morning she had relaxed and started to explore. Annabelle is a bundle of energy -- always on the move. She is a real health nut, always eating her veggies first, and apparently enjoys yoga! In an unusual display of flexibility even for a monkey, Annabelle will throw one stretched-out leg over her shoulder and then run using her other leg and arms. So far, she hasn’t taught this move to her new monkey friends!
