Marcel had all his teeth removed by a breeder after he attacked another monkey. Marcel is also crippled – he has issues with his legs and his feet. Fortunately, Marcel was taken in by a kind individual in South Florida. Ultimately, his new guardian felt that Marcel needed to have monkey friends and Jungle Friends was contacted.

When Marcel first arrived, he was shy and unsure of his surroundings, his former guardian stayed to settle him in and visits every week. Marcel was given a large naturalistic habitat, but seemed a bit overwhelmed in the larger space, so we moved him into a smaller habitat and he is much happier in the smaller space. Now, Marcel negotiates the runways with ease, checking out his new monkey neighbors.
