It is with a heavy heart that I tell you our sweet Bonnie left this world for the next. She had a stroke several years ago, and lived and thrived for much longer than anyone could have ever expected or hoped for. She was a spunky old gal and I've known her for nearly 25 years, I will miss her every day, Bonnie passed in her sleep peacefully with her monkey and human friends all around her, she was encircled in love.

Bonnie was purchased as a ‘pet’ and then sold to a breeder. When the breeder decided to get out of the business, the plan was to sell all of the monkeys at an exotic animal auction. Fortunately, that fate never came to pass and she went to Jungle Friends where she would never have her babies stolen from her. Bonnie is mother to Bailey, who was born here at Jungle Friends as the result of a failed vasectomy. She was a great mother, and even when Bailey was all grown up, Bonnie felt the need to protect him -- she would rush to his side if she sensed trouble and they both cuddled together at night to sleep. Mother and son were very close and spent much of their time grooming each other.
