Bob came to Jungle Friends after being retired from nicotine studies with 25 other squirrel monkeys. CNN reported their arrival with praise for all those who helped make history - this troop is the first to be retired from the FDA.
Bob is a compact little man with a round face. Bob’s tail was amputated long ago. Squirrel monkeys use their long tails for balance and posture, so the lack of a tail makes Bob slump a bit. He is also greedy and unashamed about it – being the first to pounce on new treats or enrichment items.
