Tara

Tara is a former breeder monkey who was turned over to Jungle Friends when the breeder died. Known only by a number, she had spent her life in a tiny, dirty cage in a dark room having her babies stolen from her to be sold into the exotic pet trade. This beautiful old lady was given the name Tara after a dear friend and major contributor to the sanctuary died; whose name was Tara Allen. Luckily for Tara and her companion, Jungle Friends gave them a new life! Tara now enjoys a lush, sun-filled outdoor habitat. Although Tara is not very active due to her old age, she still enjoys catching bugs, running through the runways and basking in the sunshine.
